School Funding

Ken's family moved to Newton because of the reputation for excellence of the Newton Public Schools and maintaining the quality of our schools has always been Ken's top priority as an elected official.

Over the years, whenever important programs in our schools have been threatened with reduction or elimination, Ken has advocated for the necessary funds to keep them alive. When necessary, Ken has suggested cost savings in other areas in order to provide the resources needed to keep class size down and to support programs like art and music, and to keep school libraries open.
