Tree Preservation Ordinance

Ken worked with Alderman Amy Sangiolo and Former Alderman Mike Lipof to craft Newton's innovative Tree Preservation Ordinance and to shepherd the proposal through the legislative process.

The ordinance has generated hundreds of thousands of dollars in funds for the planting of new trees and has protected countless other trees from being cut down. In addition, hundreds of trees have been planted by developers to replace trees they have removed.
